Accurate, on-time payment for every vendor.
Our vendors are essential to how we operate. This page explains how to invoice MTG Petroleum, how and when you will be paid, and how we protect your payments.
Submitting Invoices
Email invoices as PDF attachments to payments@mtgpetroleum.com. To avoid delays, every invoice must include:
- Your registered company name and remit-to address
- MTG Petroleum contract or purchase order number
- Cargo, delivery or service date and description
- Quantity, unit price and total, in the contract currency
- Supporting documents required by the contract
Payment & Remittance
Approved invoices are paid by ACH or wire transfer within the payment terms of your contract. We do not issue paper checks.
A remittance advice listing the invoices paid is emailed to your accounts-receivable contact on the day payment is released. For payment status, email us with your invoice number.
Tax Forms
We need a signed IRS Form W-9 (U.S. vendors) or Form W-8BEN-E (non-U.S. vendors) on file before your first payment.
Where required, MTG Petroleum issues IRS Form 1099 to reportable vendors by January 31 of each year.
Becoming a Vendor
New vendors complete our counterparty onboarding and compliance review before any work is ordered or invoiced.
Begin OnboardingUpdating your bank details
Requests to change bank details are the most common route to payment fraud. To protect your payments, we follow the same process every time, with no exceptions:
- Email payments@mtgpetroleum.com to request our Vendor Account Update Form.
- Return the form signed by an authorized officer, with a bank letter or voided check confirming the new account.
- We call your company at the phone number already on file, not one supplied with the request, to confirm the change.
- The new details take effect only after that confirmation, and we notify your previous contact once the change is made.
MTG Petroleum will never change your payment details, or ask you to change ours, by email alone. If you receive such a request in our name, call us before acting on it.
